Beginning work to build the Nativity Sand in La Pineda

La Pineda. Costa Dorada. During December, the Municipal Tourism Vilaseca carried out the traditional nativity scene, sandy beach of La Pineda which will be open until next January 9, 2012.

Coordinated by Nuria Vallverdú, director of the project, other sculptors involved in the construction of the crib of sand are Niall Magee (Ireland), Ludo Roder (Netherlands), Martijn Rijersde (Netherlands), Anique Kuizenga (Netherlands) Bruno MacDonald (Denmark), Daniel Doyle (Ireland), and Mario Hernandez (Catalonia).

With a circulation of 700 copies, the project promoted by Nuria Vallverdú and Mario Hernandez has an extensive collection of photos and explanation of how to build it. This book, which has received the collaboration of the Tourism Department of Vila-seca, the City Council of Vila-seca, Welfare 'La Caixa', the Hotel Estival Park and the group The Ox and Mule, will be available in bookshops in Barcelona, ​​Tarragona, Vilaseca and a stop that will be set in front of the manger of sand.
